So, now that everyone has had time to absorb the news, there are some legit questions i do see answered. Such as,

Who is responsible for ensuring each flyer has rpas?
Who will be enforcing said rule?
As far as registration/deregistration goes, who will be enforcing that? Will random TC inspectors be making trips to all the fields to check for compliance?
Who are "qualified" rc plane techs now that can sign off our airplanes to fly?

I know this seems ludicrous to ask, but these are the rules now as I read them, and it doesn't seem there are any clear answers to them.

I'm not trying to stir the pot, these are just real questions we should probably be asking.

All valid questions Greg.

IMHO, and the exec will be sitting down to confer, in the old days you showed the club your MAAC card and you were good to go. Now, you show the club your Pilot Certificate, and you're good to go. The club exec will update the Member list with another Box - TC. That, to me, is the end of our legality.

If TC wants to send an inspector to the field to check if my plane is registered, they're welcome. But I am NOT going to check "your" plane for registration - if there is what seems to be a valid TC number on the plane I'm  happy.

At our level, until TC tells us differently, the flyability of our planes is still subject to the opinion of the instructors at the field. If I don't think your plane is safe, I will still tell you. Won't stop you, but will tell you. I'd expect other fliers to do the same.

Again, my HO, the new TC regs regulate the flying. Avon still exists as an entity, and club rules will still be valid.

Again, all my opinion. Club members will discuss this all ad nauseum and we will arrive at the ground rules for AVIA.

Managed to Register 3 Models, none of the printed Certificates of Registration actually referred to the type of model, other than to say it was a "Custom Built"?
Good thing I was making notes of which aircraft I was Registering when filling in the Drone WEB Portal,
obtw you need a Govt. of Canada account set up to do this first..

Have fun...
