OK, the poorly thought out plastic roof is gone from the shelter...... Undecided

With a lot of effort, Al and Todd and Mikey and Grant put a much more permanent plywood roof on....Lots of cutting and piecing and screwing gotter done... Raa Raa

Then Colin showed up (!), climbed up and dumped a can of Thompson's Sealer over the roof.... bit of brushing and Voila.... Smiley

Today the roof was finished, maybe (1)

Tar paper was laid. Drip edge was gnailed. Dave Porter put down about 1/3 the shingles before he had to go. but he had time for an intensive instruction session so Whitey could finish the job.

Kevin Beav threw shingles up to the roof. Mikey nailed. No pics of Dave or Kevin. sorry guys

I went and bought another bundle of shingles. when we left the roof was shingled.

We can only hope they survive Winter Winds.

We still need to add some tar under each tab. We were going to do it today but the bucket of tar I brought was hard as a rock. That’s what I get for leaving it in the car overnight in the cold temperature. If anyone is interested in doing the shingle tarring, I can bring the warmed up bucket of tar out to the field. We really should do this sooner rather than later
