Survey says that the wind turbine industry is using tons od balsa for the blades.
Recent experience ordering from an outlet in the states...some $800 dollars of balsa (not me - a friend) resulted in a delivery of lower quality (termed hard) balsa.

Has anyone had recent good experience(s)?  If so from where?

Brian, I noticed in a build thread on RCSCALEBUILDER some pictures of what guys in other countries are using - Barn Board best describes it. I know Michaels, the craft store, carries balsa; forget the name but was a well known name (!). What's that other company Aircraft Spruce or something ?

Yes indeed, Midwest for the Michaels balsa.
I was trying to remember the name of the Aircraft Spruce company....turns out it's Aircraft Spruce  Roll Eyes  Who knew????
They have balsa, in 48" long 4x4 blocks....likely not what you're looking for Brian..
