May 3^rd, 2015 at 9:08pm In Florida with Al Coolen and happy to report Graeme Mears and Ali Machinsky have won Team Scale with the T33. Not without its challenges though. The plane hit the fence in round two and they had to rebuild the retracts and tip tanks. Hours on the lathe and they were back in the air Sunday morning.

Al's pic #1 and #3 were reduced to splinters. sandro, who was with us, lost an F18 on its third flight ( that's the third flight since he purchased it). He had one engine flame out on takeoff and it lumbered around before piling in trying to get back to the field.

It was very interesting to see the radios being used. Total Spektrum Dx18 dominance...... And I mean dominance. A few Futaba's. A few JR's and some Jeti's. Picked a few guys brains on why the Spektrum dominance and they are saying it does things the other radios can't do. Me thinks there may be a Futaba defector joining the Spektrum ranks soon.

Reply #13 - May 12^th, 2015 at 9:38pm Servo failed due to a pilot error. Installed a new gyro on the nose wheel but forgot to program the gyro to turn off when then gear went up. Result was a gyro trying to override a servo when the gear was up, and in turn, burning the servo out.
