Title: Gary's Citabria
Post by garyb on Feb 7th, 2017 at 5:16pm
[img][img][/img][/img]My first build is starting to look like an airplane even though I really don't have a clue what I am doing. This is my third winter working on it. Thankfully I have Rae close by when I need help (often).  Here's hoping it will actually fly.

The covering is on and the windshield is on. Sorry guys, my first build and there will be no machine guns or bombs.

Gary, real planes have round engines, and guns, but we'll excuse you for this one! But please, resize your photos so we can see them without the scroll........

Super job Gary.  A very pretty airplane that will fly as good as it looks!   Well done!

It looks great just sitting there on the runway.  Good job Gary.  I fully expect that it will fly just fine.

Of course it had a technical difficulty!! There’s no pilot in the cockpit in the picture I saw. LOL

Nice job Gary!!

The Citabria flew it's maiden flight yesterday. It did not fly well.
Seems to have some trim problems to sort out but thanks to my highly skilled test pilot Kevin, it landed smoothly and safely.

Gary - "it landed smoothly and safely". In maiden flight terms, it flew well.

Good job. Tiddy up some details and it's a great plane..
