Anyone else having the same problems
1. logins sometimes tdo not take - no error message
2. website response time is very slow = 10 to 15 seconds

I'm finding it slow as well. It actually timed-out on me a number of times over the last couple of days...

Relax guys, the code for the website is solid. What is the deciding factor will be local servers in Canada, and our web host. Sometimes they do backups and upgrades on the web serves and sometimes, that can cause slow downs. I have seen instances where all US based websites were ok, and no Canadian sites would load.

So, just wait it out and I am sure it will get better. Unlike another website that we know, with the same type of code for their Forum, we don't need to delete complete threads or delete 90% of the attached pictures. They do nothing to cause a slow down. We could have a terrabyte of pics and attachments, and a million threads, and they still will not affect the performance of the website. The webserver and the host is our weak link.

Seems fine today. Perhaps the hosting company read Dans post.

I'm still very slow tonight..... Easter Holiday Traffic??

It is definitely the provider. About 2 hours ago things were normal with the site and then it slowed again. Things should be back to normal soon.

I talked to the server provider today about the problems during the Easter Weekend and previous. They have been plagued with Power Supply failures and have been moving servers around to so they can fix the problems. So, this should be short-lived. Actually the forum speed is back to normal now. We might see some more slowdowns this week; however, they have things well in hand. Shortly, all should be resolved.
