Without me and my 6 proxies there wouldn't have been a quorum. <br /><br />Stephen Bensen, our CD; Carl Layden our DZD; Alain Carpentier our MAAC prez; a friend of Stephens acting as secretary; John O'Sullivan; myself. With proxies we had, I think, 18.   I commented that despite two requests from Avon I only received 6 proxies - that should tell them something about the interest around here. <br /><br /><b><div>Just got an update from Carl on the attendance.....seems the MAAC site registered 24 proxies. not sure why the numbers differ but there we have it..</div></b><br /><br />Minutes of last years meeting read and approved. <br /><br />Stephen's brief ZD report. Brief because he just started. <br /><br />My Avon club report as usual<br /><br />Election of ZD and DZD by acclaimation - no other nominations. <br /><br />Stephen then resigned, citing other stuff. Alain and Carl will run things while they look for a ZD. <br /><br />No Resolutions.<br /><br />Under recommendations, I vented my spleen about DNA's and lack of transparency and/or communication. Alain commented that they were very busy - my reply was that WE were the reason they were there and perhaps busy should be be used for us. <br /><br />John O'Sulliivan then spoke about how he was thankful the summer referendum wasn't approved. We were going to do it today but the bucket of tar I brought was hard as a rock. That’s what I get for leaving it in the car overnight in the cold temperature. If anyone is interested in doing the shingle tarring, I can bring the warmed up bucket of tar out to the field.
