Since I have my first turbine nearly completed; just a little more wiring to tidy up and some more transmitter programing it is complete and with my second turbine being shipped as I type this. Tis got me pondering and leading to a question or three.

With the new MAAC pilot qualification system, I'm shown as a fixed wing pilot only; how do I proceed in the spring to legally fly my turbines?
MAAC seems to have left the hows of the new system at the club level.
I assume I need a turbine instructor to assess my plane and perhaps hold my hand the first flight and or flights  Wink to sign off on my proficiency?
Have we thought about how we are going to approach this?

We're working on it Greg. It is, as they say, in process.

Greg, Al Coolen and Jimmy Sadek have been designated Turbine Instructors as required by the new MAAC regs. In the spring, once we get flying again,  Plane Cool WEEEEE Colin Bell   They will be happy to get you designated.
