I remember when several thousand kayakers blocked an oil tanker in BC. Photos of it all over the press. Great display of concern over the environment. Every kayak in the pic was plastic product - guess where plastic comes from.
We recently had the Anarchists for a Green Earth, or some such group, march through downtown Halifax. Then they blockaded the bridge. I had to wonder how many of the protestors carried an Iphone in the pocket of their synthetic pants, a phone with it's plastic construction, full of metals that never get salvaged.
