Had a rudder cable break on my 35 cc Factor today right at the clevis end where it goes through the hole. Angry Appears the vibration on the metal clevis end cut through the cable.
Any suggestions to keep this from happening?
Any ideas for replacement cable as I’m having trouble locating cable online in a timely fashion. Anybody used something like 100-200 lb spectra braided fishing line? Strong and doesn’t stretch.

Hi Greg
If it is a pull pull cable system ,the Dubro line is what I use. it comes 2 /56 or 4/40 pull system with all the attachments.
I only use  the 4/40 cable on the gas engines.

Thanks for the product # Grant, I have ordered it tonight. I’m still thinking about giving spectra braided line a try though. If it doesn’t work I have metal cable coming.

Hi Greg
Probably any material will work  as long as it doesn't stretch over time.
The Du-bro cable is made of strands of steel coated with nylon covering and never changes the movement of the rudder.

I have some to Sandy, I use it for fishing. The stuff is stupid strong for its size and zero stretch, that is why I thought it maybe a workable alternative to the metal cable.
I have metal cable on the way from GH though.
$16 for the cable kit and $14 shipping Angry

Called Great Hobbies and talked to them about the shipping cost after I posted Jack. Has been dealt with and shipping charges updated to $5.
