Tutor - I'm in the left seat.

I had one picture where we were in a turn. It was used as the basis for a stamp.

Float Fly-In near Mahone Bay in the 60's. They had spot landing contests and a bombing competition. The pilot and his "bomber" were given half a dozen plastic bags (6" diameter) of sawdust, the target was an inner tube anchored offshore, the pilot flew low and slow over the target and the bomber leaned out the door and dropped the bomb. My brother and I would sit near the target in a row boat and be the judges (safety first?). Great fun as a kid.

CF-KQK was my dad's plane.

My dad (second from left) and his "bomber" Dan MacLeod being awarded their diplomas for winning the "Aerial Bombing" competition. Don't know why the Cub was never picked my the Canadian Military as a heavy bomber. Wink

Great stuff Steve! Not hard to tell why you love airplanes. Smiley

Great pics Steve. Lots of history here. But I beg to differ on the comment about tying a plane down - what better way??? Airfoil is upside down so there is no lift...... Huh

That's true Sandy, and with the floats up there's less chance of it floating away Cheesy
