The Canadian Coast Guard is pleased to report that, following a prolonged recuperation from back and neck injuries sustained during a forced landing at the Avon RC Field a few years go, Captain Morgan is back at work and will be test flying his refurbished Bell 212 this summer
if I can get my nerve up and a good supply of Depends
. Captain Morgan thanks all who sent cards and flowers during his recovery.

Full points to 'The Captain' for preparing to get back into the game; I'm looking forward to seeing the CCG on duty once again at our field.

Great job on the restoration.

Methinks Capt. Morgan will require a generous portion of Capt. Morgan to climb back into that Meccanno set again.  Wink
However, The rebuild looks great Steve.  Angry

Steve, I don't know if you based this 212 on the one based at the CCGS base in Dartmouth, but if you did, I flew out to several of the lighthouses  on that bird, and the pilots name was Len Bentham, I don't remember the "Capt. Morgan" perhaps he was the co-pilot... Roll Eyes he did love to do low and overs over the Helipad to scare away the seagulls before landing... Shocked

Len flew me up and down Halifax harbor one time to shoot photos from the big Bell. It was when the Purdy's wharf building was just about to officially open and was wrapped in a huge ribbon.  It was a huge weather day and although I've had several big Bell flights, I will never forget that one.  Later Len joined and flew RC models at ASRCM for several years.
