The following is an email from Barry Lloyd on Indoor flying.

Hello all,

Another indoor flying season is about to begin. I just finished speaking with Dwight MacLeod, Executive Director of the Valley Sports & Multipurpose Facility in Kentville, regarding the use of the building for indoor flying for the 2013 - 2014 season. He confirmed today that October 16th will be the starting date this year.

Flying time is scheduled the same as last year, with weekly sessions on Wednesdays, 1pm - 4pm at a flat rate of $10.00 per person per day. He also told me that he would not run it for only one person.

Facility rules:
A reminder to bring along a pair of indoor shoes to wear as outdoor footgear is not allowed on the soccer field. Also no food or drink of any kind is permitted in the field area. Signs are posted in the hallway. There is an eating area up by the Kickers café for those that require it.

Safety reminders:
1. For those persons charging batteries on-site, remember that it is your responsibility to use only procedures and equipment that will eliminate any possible fire hazard.

2. Helicopter models are limited to the 250 class size and smaller.

With the advancements being made regarding micro equipment and models, it should be interesting to see what shows up at the field this year.
