while in Ottawa last week, Carolyn and I had supper at the house of Isabel, our Scale Aerobatic chairperson. She lives on a small farm about an hour east of Orleans. Nice place, quiet, no one around to bother too  much.

Isabel is a pretty nice lady, and is reigning Advanced champ from last year's Nats. She and Ray share a 35% Dalton Extra, pretty beat up but they can sure fly it. She showed us their flying site out back, and was apologetic that the runways were only about 700 feet long. She said sometimes it was difficult to get a 35% plane on the ground there. I told her we have guys flying 40% planes off runways 3/4 that size.... not sure she believed me..  Ya Right

She and husband Ray are trying to fit one of our contests in....so I'm sending her directions and ferry info from Digby to Saint john so they could tie in with a visit to Cape Cod..... I think it would be neat to get a look at "upper canjun's" flying. For the record, she said she has heard about a few of our fliers and would really like to see them in action... Huh Sign
