Sandy - You are crazy.

Joe - The repairs are looking great!  Looks like it will be as good and as strong as the original structure.

Thanks Mark...and ummmm Sandy I think Wink

I kind of enjoy it in one sense, but it takes me a long time to do stuff. Don't have the right tools for some and unsure of what I am doing with other things. Although, I am leaving the stuff like the motor box for the "xspurts" to do with me. I have an idea, but am not thrilled with the idea of having a 30cc with a 19" prop flying at me when I first start it.  Cheesy

The wing is a whole other issue. Have not even really looked at that yet. Saving that until I have the fuse sorted out.

I started to "try" to repair the motor box last night...that was a mistake. Angry

I did however repair the remaining severed formers. I will sand those off tonight and sand the side of the fuse. I think I am just going to fill the small depressions in the fuse with spackle to smooth them out.

Planning to have a look at the wing on the weekend. Not sure what I may be able to tackle on that.

Okay...so the fuse is now puttied up and seems solid once again. I will sand it tomorrow night and apply more putty if needed.

After that I tackled the horizontal stab that appeared to be weakened. I managed to peel back the covering without harming it. (Love Untracote)

There was indeed a cracked and stressed point right near the counter weighted area. Repaired, and made sturdy with CA and contest balsa. I would say less than a gram added and very strong.

Tomorrow, I will have a look at the wing. Not looking forward to that one. I suspect it will be a little more complicated.  Huh

Okay, so tonight I completed the internal patches on the fuse and sanded the wood putty , so aside from covering the fuselage repair is complete.

With the Fuselage complete, I re-covered the elevator that I repaired last night. Not art, but close enough for rock'n'roll. Roll Eyes

I got ambitious and pulled the covering back on the wing, carefully so as not to rip it. What I discovered inside, is a little beyond my repair skill.

Al, your up  Wink

I once again would like to thank DLE for their part in this repair, and of course for the rock hard CA fingertips.  Angry

Tempting Wink

Dave. Will not be ready for the weekend sadly. I am headed to Ontario the following weekend for two weeks. Hope to get it finished when I return.

In the interim, I have resumed my previous hobby of BBQing and drinking.
