Does anyone have any experience with lado retracts? I'm looking for a rotating retracts for my p-40 and I'm leaning towards electric. I started shopping eflite but they don't make anything beefy enough.

I have a set of standard (non rotating) in my .60 size P51, they've worked flawlessly so far.

Good to know. They aren't cheap so I was looking for a little bit of a "real critique". I may wait a bit and see if eflite comes out with a set (rumor has it they are working on it)... And I have heard lado has notoriously slow shipping...

Magnum R/C sells Lado retracts. I just placed a small order and they shipped it out in two days. Might be an option if they have them in stock.

Lado did have issues shipping product back when they first started because it was a single family running a business out of a shop in their backyard. The original owner has since retired and sold off the business to a guy in France. My gear is from the US shop and took a while to get but they are well worth it, as I said before they've worked flawlessly for 2 seasons now, and I can't find a single thing bad to say about them. I have no idea what the shipping is like now, but I thought the new owners had promised to address the issue.

I don't know if this is helpful at all but I just read that Robart will be producing a full line of electric retracts.  They have partnered with Down and Locked and will be releasing system to the marketplace over the next few months.

I know that the Lado product is excellent, but I'm not sure how easy it is to get them.  If Robart really come through then we may have access to a reliable supply of electric retracts for all sizes of models.

When I was following the thread for my ESM Hurricane I noticed a lot of the guys had replaced the stock retracts with Lado, and seemed to like them.

Can't imagine why they did that because the ESM quality is so very high  Wink... now getting my tongue out of my cheek both Cool and Dan kept the stock retracts on their 50cc ESM's and have good luck with them

Thanks all for the input. I think I'll wait to see what solution robart comes up with. The p-40 is still in its box and I'm in no rush get it in the air...

Baby steps. Baby steps. I have to keep reminding myself...
