I would just like to give a
big thumbs up
to the Avon RC Flyers
for giving up their field for a day so us scale aerobatics guys can have a contest. There is a fair bit of work in getting the field setup and ready, the day before and the day of the event.
The grounds were immaculate, the food was great, and the weather was perfect.
It was well attended. I hope everyone had a great time.

Thanks a lot guys

What a super day, and this is how great a contest can be when all the gremlins stay home. 10 guys flying their hearts out, but laughing and joking and helping each other all day. There were no broken prop bolts, no broken props, no overheating engines, NO CRASHES or even hard landings...The temperature was just right
well maybe a little warm
and what little wind there was occasionally was of no concern to anyone..

Great to see Bruce and Jack in Basic having a great time and learning that Scale Aerobatics is as much fun as it is a challenge - super job guys. It was also special to see Grant Beaver back on the line after all these years, and his performance showed he hasn't "lost it". Kevin Beaver also came, but didn't compete. We'll see you next time Kevin.

Our apologies to the seismologists at Acadia and Dal - those unexplained tremors in the middle of the Windsor wetlands were simply my knees. Shook so hard on the first flight the guys in the pits disturbed me with their laughter - that's my story and I'm sticking to it.. Cheesy

And to echo Cool, the Avon club prepared a great site for us, fed us well, and a bunch even sat around and cheered us on  Smiley

Big thanks to the Avon club and all who participated and helped out.  It was definitely one of the better contests i have attended throughout the years.  Look forward to next year's contest.
