Although only the weekend before the Northumberland event, it is the only weekend open. Hopefully this won't be too much. Should be interesting to see how everyone does on the second event because we will all be on our game.

After a lot of soul searching, Cool and I have decided to change the up coming event from a 2 day contest to a 1 day contest, to be held Saturday, September 3/11. Location unchanged at the Windsor field.

As we saw at Havelock, a few mechanical or health problems can reduce a contest to a disappointment in short order. While the club members had been kind enough to let us have the field for 2 days, the reality is it's asking a lot to give up 2/3 of a long weekend to accomodate 3 members and a group of visitors, especially if there is the slightest chance that group could dwindle to only a few fliers.

For those making a longer trip, Sunday will be wide open for fun flying (turbines, heli's ( Cry

), Jackels, etc). We'll try to have the Bar-b-q running that day as well.
