Yea, Mandates are done, most guys are getting around pretty good, so it's time for another Club Fun Fly!!!!  :Thank You Loyal Fans Time to get together again and meet up with some guys we haven't seen since last summer. Event is just for us, AVON, and any past members who'd like to re-visit the scene of the crime.

July 23/22 is the date. There WILL be food, although we need a cook or some cooks. There WILL be good weather, There WILL be lots of flying. No events, just flying.

Bring your family. We'll have some tents up for shade, or bring your own.

No fee, no charge, no credit, no refunds.

I'll be there weather gods permitting. I'll cook. I'll check the propane this Sunday when I plan on flying.

I have been handed the spatula as chief cook. I have a list of eatables and condiments but need to know if anyone plans on bringing more than immediate family. Plan is to limit any waste of food. so if you plan on bringing a large group please let me know so I can purchase burgers and dogs in the correct amount.

If you would like to give me a quick reply with number of people attending that would be great to help with the crystal ball on numbers attending. Also anyone allergic to anything would help with any medical emergency. I'm a diabetic so will try to help out in that respect.

I'll never refuse an extra pair of hands. I'll be doing a shopping trip tomorrow and/ or early next week. I have the shopping list thanks to Dave Porter. I'm just trying to estimate numbers to purchase the correct amount without to much waste.

Good turn out in my opinion today lots of sun shades and iced refreshments. Also learned alot of tips for food. most people liked the fresh hamburger patties vise Costco frozen specials. Hot dogs and Bratwurst also commented on as better than previous years. Thing to note for future years the diet drinks went over VERY well as opposed to full sugar ones. Note for Dave the club cooler and unused utensils are in the sea can. I have all the left over water and some soda and will be keeping them in my fridge and will bring them with me anytime I'm at the field until they are used up.

Again, thank you from the 6 adults and 1 two year old from the Gollan family. They enjoyed the visit at the field to see Grampie do what he does and see all the other planes.
Thank you Sandy and any other exc. members for coming up with the idea to do this!

Stupendous Day!!!! We weathered the heat (thank you to those who brought shelters) flew some, talked a lot, told even more lies, drank a lot of water and seemed to have a great time.

Someone counted 32 attendees - fliers, friends and families. Cato, our zone director, drove his motor cycle down from Saint John, in that heat, just to join us; then drove back home late in the afternoon. Holy chunk, hot drive, dedicated ZD.

To repeat everything said above, the hamburgers were great. I can't speak to the Brats but I'm sure Glen has an equally high opinion.

And yes Marc....thank you for finding Glen's plane. Lesson to me "when the prop starts scrubbing the cowl, land!!!"

Our Support staff....Thank you to Gary and Glen who helped with the mowing on Friday (yes we got it short and uneven , but an axle for a boggie wheel broke and that left the deck on one mower  tilted). Then Greg Gollan helped with fixing the sun shelter and getting the springs wound. Kevin and Steve - great job with the food and cooking...for me way too hot a day to be standing over a BBQ, but youse guys done it!!!

Now, don't forget the Scale Meet the end of August, and yes, we'll do this one again next year...

Agree, it was a fun day of flying-n-lieying.  Burgers were good, just needed French's ketchup  ;D
