Hey Sandy. A few things I’ve learned about printing and more specifically the Ender 3. Bed levelling is critical and the stick machine tends to drift out of alignment easily and often. Some mandatory upgrades in my opinion are upgraded bed levelling springs, a glass bed, and the filament feeder assembly. The other thing I am learning is that not all PLA filaments are created equal. I have some clear PLA that is dreadful and is very difficult to use. The other thing I am doing with the printing of the pilots if printing on the highest quality setting, which produces excellent results, but also prints that are taking 18 to 32 hours to print.

I have the heavy springs, glass bed and metal extruder.....all suggested by john Walker last year. I'm working on bed leveling. Lots of advice to use a feeler guage instead of the paper, so i tried the .2mm guage. Didn't even come close lol. Way too much space. So I tried a bed level test print that let me adjust while it printed.Got a lot closer with that ....forget what the feeler is now. I also find the highest print quality makes a huge difference.....

Hey Mike. you are sure doing a fine job on the pilots. You will have to come up with a catalog and offer your pilots throughout NA. Rae.

Another couple of new pilots. The WW1 pilot is a 33% pilot I did for a guy putting it in a DR-1. The other Klingon is for a guy who is putting it in a P-47 that is highly modified. The third jet pilot is for Colin, who is putting it in his Ultra Flash done in the Swissair aerobatic team colurs.
