It was a short day...not due to weather or winds but when the student only has a single plane and the electronics glitches when you're flying parallel to the runway 25 ft off the ground and the plane decides to flip on its back and nose dive into the mud 6 feet off the grass runway, your flying day is finished. We don't know what happened but both student and instructor had no control. looked like the receiver may have lost contact with the transmitter or the transmitter was jammed. physically (mechanically) we could find no reason for the incident with the plane. it was all electronics that caused it.
Good news all can be repaired with spare parts on hand (except needs new prop) Further investigation into receiver is ongoing to try a figure out what happened. I hate not knowing 'why'.

I have a spare 22 x 12 3 blade I can lend....

The rest of it just sucks. Hate electronic SNAFU stuff

ya, that one was odd , the plane rolled over and did a nose dive , no control at all ....... very frustrating when the plane will not respond to inputs from the stick

Try a different Rx. if still no response then Tx has a problem.

I have a theory that I will verify Wednesday when Steve brings over the plane. I'm thinking the fail safe may have been set before servos were reversed for the plane on initial setup. if we had a fail safe condition the plane would have done something completely unexpected. Wednesday will tell.

PS we plan on replacing the receiver anyway with a nice little AR410 with telemetry that I picked up for my 3D ugly stick.

Yeah, reversed fail safe could cause a major problem if you have a brown out. but why the brown out? Hasn't there been several this year?

I had one brown out myself but I know it was my battery(one cell bad)....proven with a second test flight and I was prepared for it and expecting it. but never lost control of the plane. The above incident was full lose of control.

This was more like a "hit" ,  the plane just rolled over and when in, and stuck the nose cone into the ground

Was able to check the fail safe settings yesterday with no unexpected results the fail safe was set correctly. I have now idea what happened to the plane.
