We certainly lucked out yesterday. Super day with not too much heat or humidity :Thanks although the several shelters were well used. Also, we had virtually no wind.
31 Pilots signed up to fly :Thank You Loyal Fans, and we had representatives from New Brunswick, New Glasgow, Truro, ASRCM, Shearwater, South Shore and WOW.
Our CD Dave Porter, helped by Don MacPhee did a super job on the BBQ preparing lunch, I guess it was well received because there sure wasn't much left. Kudos also to John Forsythe, Glen Miller, Grant Beaver, & Ron Stuart for the mowing - the runways were in great shape. [smiley=tekst-toppie.gif]
I made contact with 4 visitors who are serious about joining AVON, so we will see how that pans out.
Thanks to those who did stuff, and thanks to those who came and had fun.....without you these don't happen.
Rae sent me pictures, and I stole some from Jon Eastman's FB posts and I've sent these to Bruce. Hope he can get them in the gallery. Otherwise we'll get them here...
