Title: Field conditions today, July 3/2019
Post by Fingers on Jul 3rd, 2019 at 5:56pm
With the help of Steve Norman, Rae Coyle, Jim Stewart and Kelly Doary,  we were able to get the field mowed today, TWICE  [smiley=tekst-toppie.gif] :Raa Raa :Thank You Loyal Fans :Thanks :welcome
By the time I got there Jim had done an admirable job whipping around the fences and stands...
Kelly brought his mower from home, so with 3 machines slopping through the wet grass we managed a wet cut down to 2.5 or 3 on the blades.
We waited for a while, told some lies :huhsign, and generally let the sun work it's magic. Jim and I went back at it and managed to get mostly a "1" cut second time around. Please note, there is a fair amount of cut grass clumps, a feature of the wet grass being too long after last weeks rain. We beat it up as best we could, but a large tow behind rake would have been wonderful.
Main runway, left to right, the one in front of the pits, on the right side of the intersection to the away side of the runway, there are several areas of standing water and mud. If you go flying, might be an idea to walk over and see for yourself where it is so you don't get mired.
Thanks for the effort guys, well done, and Kelly, the 3rd mower was a huge help. Next week someone else.
