I was shocked and devastated tonight to read that one of the great scources of scale knowledge and basement engineering, scale air craft, planes that we can only dream of, is going, going, gone. ESM has announced they have ceased production of model aircraft. Production problems have shut them down.

I know many of us have spent countless hours in basements and garages giving our best to try and assemble those master pieces to the level of scale we, as model pilots, aspire to.  :Fun_bat From ESM we've learned planning, engineering :shots, precision, and tolerances :woooweee. Air craft that are a beauty to behold have been the result, along with manic episodes :Naaah and delusions of failure  :wallbash.

ESM took the building of scale planes light years beyond the TLAR, yes, even beyond the SNAFU, into realms of FUBAR that none, who haven't tried, could believe. None can realize the shear joy of finally getting a 130mm shaft into a 129mm tube  :'(, of making 3 control surfaces function with wires and control horns within a 20mm x 18mm fuse panel opening  :-/, or .......ahhh the pain is too great.

I know Steve, Cool, and Dan will share in the mourning....may they rest in pieces.. :excited
