three things impressed me

1) how much he's sweating when he lands

2) watching the rate of climb needle just over his knee

3) looking out front and seeing how little there is in front of him....

neat

It was not uncommon after a 1.3-hour training flight of instrument approaches  or formation flying in the Tutor to be able to pour the sweat out of the oxygen mask.

I found it very interesting to be able to hear the compressor whine...it really tells you where the throttle is at different times and how quickly it spools. (yeah I know i am a nerd..lol)
