Title: Easter Weekend - Fri, Sat, Sun
Post by Davey Crockett on Apr 3rd, 2012 at 6:52am
The reports for this weekend are looking pretty good. Sunday may be the gem, but Friday and Saturday are looking nice as well... I know that it's a little far out, but we may looking at decent flying weekend. I'm planning on trying to make it to the field all three days. Just wondering who will be around if I need a little much-appreciated flight tutelage?

Also, is the BBQ that I have seen lurking in the shed, open for membership use or is it just for events? I may be inclined to bring some burgers and dogs with me and give that a test flight as well...  :D

Wow!! Your excitement and ambition certainly brings back memories for me. It was not that long ago that I was the guy posting early in the spring raring to go.  :)

Awesome!! You will have your wings in no time!!

Pretty sure as a member, you are welcome to drag one of the bbq's out and cook away. If you are cooking anything good, beware, the unwinged gulls will be circling soon enough. If anyone gives you a hard time, blame it on me.  :P

Just don't crash anything before hand or you will lose your appetite rapidly.  :D

Hi Dave:
Any Member can use what he wants down at the field.  Just remember to bring enough food for everybody.  ;D ;D

Uuugh... the latest weekend forecast is less than spectacular. Perhaps I spoke too soon, the weather gods seems to be unsure as to the fate of the weekend..  I think I just learned an important lesson about this hobby in our lovely maritime climate.

Unfortunately, the weather looks like it's forming up to be less then favourable for some of the weekend. May salvage a day out of it.
Waiting until the night before is the best plan.

Sadly I am grounded for the weekend, as I am still waiting on a new muffler to show for my 46 pro. That Redline POS did not work very well...or at all... :D

I will spend some quality time with my Hare.  :)

Anyone know if there are grill utensils in the shed with BBQ or is it bring your own? Also how is propane handled - should I be bringing my own tank if I plan to use the Q?

Hi Dave:  There are Grill utensils, but they may have to be cleaned.  Bring your own knife and fork though, were out of the plastic ones.  You use the tank of propane at the field.  It is paid for, through your dues, and everyone is welcome to use it.  However; I have the tanks at Home.  I`m working Sat and Sun and was going to take them to COSTCO for filling.  The cheapest place in town, about $11.00 bucks per tank.  Nice to be able to do this while working eh!  :)
